So, you stumbled onto the online space of a Filipino-American photographer who lives in the land of sunshine and tacos, Los Angeles, CA. Big plus, I'm totally down to travel anywhere in the US for that sweet, sweet shot.
Let's rewind a bit. Back in the college days (around 2011, yikes!), my awesome sister gifted me a fancy-looking Canon DSLR (think the kind with all the buttons). Little did I know, that beauty would turn into a lifelong obsession. I started out snapping pics at everything – events, church youth group stuff, even band practice (who knew that would become my jam?). It was pure, unadulterated fun.
Fast forward to 2021. Guess what? Photography and I rekindled our love affair! This time, my plant babies became my models (thanks to a snazzy Fujifilm point-and-shoot camera). But that wasn't all. Somehow, I found myself back at my friend's band practice, camera in hand. And that, my friends, is how I got hooked all over again.
The thing is, I'm obsessed with telling stories through photos. Whether it's catching those hilarious expressions on people's faces, those tiny details nobody else sees, or even the way someone moves – I want my pictures to tell a story.
From sweaty basement gigs to epic stadium concerts, I've dived headfirst into the crazy world of music photography. It's all about capturing that raw energy and emotion, you know? But hey, music isn't all I do. I also love taking portraits, engagement pics, elopement photos, and all that good stuff. Basically, I find beauty in the everyday moments, even the boring ones (because, let's be honest, not every picture can be a rockstar shot).
This photography journey has been a wild ride. I've learned a ton, not just about fancy camera settings but also about myself. It's taught me to see the world in a whole new way, to appreciate those fleeting moments, and to find beauty in the most unexpected places (like that perfectly symmetrical stack of dirty dishes in the sink – hey, it happens!).
